Briefly about company coaching
It is a common mistake to think of managerial coaching, leadership coaching and corporate coaching as a specific branch of coaching that differs from "regular" coaching. There is really no difference at all. Coaches use corporate coaching or executive coaching in front of the word "Coaching" to more effectively influence the type of clients they hope to attract. They want to differentiate their coaching from the coaching of others. Coach training does the same thing. All of these titles and definitions are more about marketing than any real difference in coaching.
Here is the simple explanation of why this is so.
A business leader is more likely to be tempted to hire a coach who calls himself a head coach or business coach and who offers head coaching or leadership coaching, especially when he needs to get the board to approve the cost of hiring a business coach. An entrepreneur, on the other hand, may be more attracted to business coaching because that is where he identifies his needs. Someone who is looking for a coach to help them achieve life balance or something else personal will probably look for a coach for this instead of a business coach.
Since coaching is an unregulated field, you can call yourself whatever kind of coach you want.
